  • DO NOT NEED TO REMOVE GRASS: Overseeding a grass lawn with Creeping Thyme adds low growing flowers which bloom at 2-4” from July to September in pink. To install, simply mow short in spring or fall, then hand spread the flowering lawn seed into the grass, water, and watch it grow.
  • KID, PET, POLLINATOR, AND ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY: Flowering lawns are kid and pet friendly and can be walked and played on as normal. Attracts beneficial pollinators such as butterflies and moths, honeybees, and bumblebees. Reduces the carbon footprint of your property. Reduces storm water runoff and filters toxins. Regenerates the soil creating a healthy environment and biodiversity.
  • REDUCED MAINTENANCE COSTS: Reduced mowing. No fertilizer necessary. Drought resistant. Deer Resistant. Once a flowering lawn is established it does not need to be watered except in periods of extended drought.
  • PURE FLOWER SEEDS: No grass seed fillers like other brands. Contains Creeping Thyme seed. Designed to be over-seeded into an existing lawn after mowing short in spring or fall or dormant seeded over a fresh snow on a calm day when the ground is frozen.
  • WHAT TO EXPECT: With regular watering Creeping Thyme will germinate in 3-4 weeks and will be small for the first couple months. After the second or third growing season it will bloom with pink flowers about 2-4" tall from July to September creating a vital nectar and pollen source for our friendly pollinators. Watering regularly after seeding and through dry periods is critical for success.

Creeping Thyme is very low growing (about 2-4") under the canopy of the grass and clover and has flexible woody stems with small leaves and pink to purple flowers from July to August. Creeping Thyme prefers sandy or loam soil and full sun to produce the most flowers but will grow fine in lower light conditions with just a bit less flowers.
