- What To Expect When Using Flawn Seed -- With regular watering, Micro Clover will germinate in 1-2 weeks, and plants will be small for the first couple of months. Watering regularly after seeding and through dry periods is critical for success.
- Pure Seeds -- Unlike other brands, Flawn Seed doesn't use grass seed fillers. Our specialty seed contains Micro Clover Seed.
Seeding Rate Information:
When to Seed: Spring, late summer, or early fall when rains are frequent and temperatures are moderate. Do not seed if a frost is forecast. Can also be dormant seeded on frozen ground.
Site Preparation: Mow at .5-1", remove clippings and rake any additional thatch. The soil must be visible and loosened up before seeding or seed will likely not grow.
Watering: Lightly water after seeding to start germination process. Prevent soil from completely drying out for a period of 1-2 weeks, then water as needed if seedlings start wilting.
Mowing: Maintain a height of 3" for the first year. This prevents the grass and any weeds from crowding out the baby Flawn seedlings.
Fertilizer: For lawns that have not been fertilized recently it may be beneficial to apply a low nitrogen organic fertilizer 2-3 months after seeding such as a 8-0-4 or similar.
Weed Control: It is best to remove excessive weeds by hand or natural methods before seeding. After seeding, remove unwanted weeds as desired. WARNING: Do not broadcast apply weed killers as they will kill the plants.

Shipping: During normal operations (excluding weekends & holidays), orders received before 11 a.m. CT will be shipped same day and orders received after 11 a.m. CT will almost always be shipped by the next business day unless otherwise indicted on the order or the item is currently on backorder or out of stock in which case the customer will be notified of substitutions available or an estimated time that the product will be back in stock and shipped once it is in stock. Bulky items may have additional surcharge and not qualify for any free shipping promotions. Shipping estimates most likely do not include the day of shipping or weekend days. Please refer to the shipping provider you selected for your order for more details.
USPS SHIPMENTS: Due to excessive frequency of delays, misdeliveries, and lost packages, we DO NOT recommend using USPS for orders over $100. If USPS is selected, please understand that any lost or delayed shipments will be limited to the carrier’s maximum liability of $100 per package.
Returns & Refunds: Returns for a full refund will be accepted within 30 days of original purchase date as long as products are in exact same BRAND NEW condition that they were purchased in. Any opened, partially used or damaged products will not be allowed to be returned or qualify for any refund. After 30 days refunds will be accepted for a store credit as long as they meet condition requirements stated above. Return shipping is not included in purchase. The clover is coming up great in the sun/part sun areas of my lawn. In the mostly shade area there's none at all. Maybe in the spring? It's a great product. Just be aware of your light level.

While clover does have a higher shade tolerance than grass, there is always a point at which the shade becomes too much for the clover, so we recommend using a small amount of seed first to make a 1-2ft wide path from the shady area out towards the sunny area and in a few weeks you will see where the clover will grow and where it won't.
